spent a few hours taking it apart somewhat and cleaning all the grease and grit from the frame.

thinking of doing the side pots like anderkarts invader he has

any one have any suggestions for paint on the pods/plastics

the frame is a bright cherry red very shinny after i got to it with a cotton rag and some carwax :d

thinking of painting all the bolt heads some bright colour just for the fun of it

so suggest your colours also if any one has a motor mount On a kart so i can see how its mounted cuz i dont wana drill.weld to frame duct tape might work

Rough the plastics up real well, Then use a plastics paint like Krylon's line.

As for bolts, Ect.. Id paint them black. Black / red would be a cool combo. Im personally going Anti-freeze green, And flat black.

As for motormount, Id have to see the frame. There should be a plate with enlongated holes.. Bolts would go up threw the bottom, Into the bottom of the block assuming you have a B&S styled engine.

Can't seem to uplaod pics for somereason on either internet explorer or fire fix
from my computer or from photobucket keeps saying invalid format and thier jpg.... it worked be4 well here the links for photo bucket

You mean like so? Instead of the url tags, Put IMG tags. ;)

Edit: ooops, red "x's". Not sure why. On photo bucket, when you "hover" over a pic, Select the bottom code, And copy / Paste it here.

Also, Didnt realize this was a race cart, And seen your thread. I retract the comment about it being a flat plate with enlongated holes.

Those 3 clamps on the bottom are called butterfly clamps. I just loosen the Allen bolts to slide the whole mount forward/back for chain adjustments. (most of these mounts you'll run across only have 2 butterfly clamps, mine just has 3 for my larger engine)

You cant see them very well but the top plate has grooves machined in to help it stay aligned to the frame:

Your Invaders frame has a little bracket for an adjustment bolt like mine shown in the pic below. The long bolt with a jam nut just rests up against the back side of the mount to help out with chain adjustments:

My mount isn't angled but If your going to install a clone, yours will need to be tilted up at a 15 degree angle at the back so your carb/air cleaner clears the LR. tire.

In your other thread you said your towns kart track had closed down. I'll bet there's lots of guys that used to race there that have extra parts sitting around (like a nice motor mount) they'd sell ya for $20 or so.
FYI: your 6.5hp. clone engine has the same mounting pattern as a 5hp Briggs.

Your 6.5hp. clone engine is the same physical size as the Honda GX-160 your karts previous owner had mounted on your kart. The trick to making these fit is to have an angled motor mount that raises the rear of the engine up at a 15 degree angle so everything clears the right rear tire. Also, It looks like your rear seat mounting struts could be adjusted to move the seat over and give you more room for the engine.

ye i tried having the engine on an angle rear up front down and the gas tank on the clone hits the seat side i have the seat as far as it can go forward cuz be4 when i had it back like an inch the clutch would hit and befor he said he has a kt100 on it

but i just have the tire as far as i can go out so the side cover wont hit.
