You can add ackermann in your bell cranks, you don't need to change the spindles.
How do I add Ackermann to this steering design of which I used the stock Northern Tool spindles? What are you referring to when you say bell cranks?

Add a wedge or pie slice shaped piece to the inside edge of the steering arm, move the tie rod attaching holes in .75" to 1". If you're handy with a saw and a welder, you could accomplish that in about an hour, ;)
Then you would also have to shorten the tie rods by about .75" to 1".

You can do it this way, just measure the amount of angle you need and add it to this bellcrank.

Thats an awesome trike. BUT!!!! Next time leave the music out of the video. Or at least remove it while riding. I as well as most others like to hear the vehicle itself. That would be like filming a concert but the audio you hear is someones conversation in the crowd. Music in movies like this is a pet peev of mine

You could be right but make a model out of wood or even cardboard and see if it works. Use thumb tacks for the pivots.

The way his steering is set up, that wont do jack. Like Rick said, its gotta be in the actual arm coming off the spindle.

On my kart, if you draw a line from the front spindle bolt, through the tie rod attaching point, it will go back to dead center of the rear axle, I may not need that much Ackerman, but I can adjust it for less, although it will change the steering ratio a little as well. You could make it adjustable as well, with multiple holes that give you different angles. ;)

I appreciate all the help. It just dawned on me though. Does a reverse trike with three wheels need Ackerman angle on the front spindles? Everything I've read says that Ackerman angle works well with four wheels not three.

I'm not sure but the inner tire will still have to have more angle i would think.
