What up all!, this is all new to me karts and forums so bare with me at i go through the learning process here. A buddy of mine was haning out at the house about three week's ago and randomly said he wanted to build a kart. Me being the guy that I am immediately hopped on board. Next thing I know I got two karts with an engines and a old motorcycle in my truck and on a trailer. Now after about three days of work we got the two go kart engines running after been sitting I the weather. Also we got the bike (kz 750 ltd) running with a water bottle of gas and a make shift wire harness. It actually fired right up and it had been sitting out in the weather for two years with out moving that I knew of. So as of yesterday I stripped the bike down completely and plan on putting the engine on my kart. I'm on a budget so I'll be selling bike parts to fund this bad boy. I'll be sure to post pics as I take them I look forward to talking with all of you.

Whoa Jim, did you miss the part about him putting a 750cc road bike engine in a go kart? I hope for your sake that it's a BIG kart, you don't want to be shoehorning that engine into a little yard kart or shifter, that won't end well...

-Jim, thanks ill be on as much as possible as I get part and pic's ill post.

-Fabroman, that is the issue I ran in to this week looking at it engine to cart ratio definitely not practical. it was like one of those moments never shop when you hungry ha ha good thing the engine didn't cost me a thing. we are in the process of looking to a different cart and in the mean time going to one of the too running with what engines we have

If you build a mini buggy frame around the 750, you should be ok. We have a member from Canada who put a 600cc engine on the back of a modified sprint kart, the thing was absolutely nuts! With more weight, a larger overall vehicle with larger wheels, it should tame the beast a little...
