This is the start of my first mini bike. I am new to this but it seems to be coming along well. PLEASE feel free to give any advice or let me know things to watch for. (Include pics if you can).

There is a table that I made that the body is sitting on.

They're confusing 4 stroke engines most likely or seeing that some brands make both types.

Any simple 4 stroke should be easy to work with, Honda, Tecumseh, Briggs, etc.

Just make sure you've got the right shaft 5/8 or 3/4" keyed to 3/16" and at least 2 and a half inches long to fully support the centrifugal clutch. If you're on a budget you might try edgers, you can find a good running edger for 40 dollars sometimes, people do not seem to value them highly on the edger but the engine is worth significantly more, just check that shaft...

2 stroke lawn boys can be turned on their side as long as you turn the carb 90* so the bowl will still work. You can replace them with special carbs that do not use bowls and can be mounted any way. I have a 49cc with one of these carbs and it is rated for performance!! jr dragsters use them too. I am using a lawn boy on my drag project because I was facing the same problem as you.
