First kart

Got this the other day really excited and good condition, guy had battery hooked up to a charger and started right up, got home knew it needed a new battery and got a traveler lawn and garden 350 cca, electric worked and cranked but didn’t start, next day put started fluid in intake on carburetor and cranked for 8 seconds then started ran and idled fine, rode for like and hour 30 and then **** it off for like 5 minutes and wouldn’t start again carb looked like it was leaking a bit of gas, so drained gas and think I am gonna get a new carb but don’t know what to get, and it needs a oil change but don’t know what oil to get for it, it’s a howhit 150cc, I have a yz125 and know some stuff about engines and things but am trying to learn as I go and get experience, have a few other questions, but please help with and recommendations or what I should do or anything?

That's not really a go kart, that is a buggy or ATV.

Wow, even has an electric car-type horn, lights and rear view mirrors....SHEESH

Looks a lot like 3 of my 4 karts. Except all the electrical B S. No lights, no electric start, no reverse, and uh no horn. Pull start and torque converter on all of them. With 5 Grandchildren, friends, and great Nephews, the 2 seater karts can really be practical.
