race karts try to get as close to a 50-50% front/back weight bias as possible.

very true, when you have a quarter midget with no roll cage and a stretched frame, all the weight is in the back. My *** sits fairly close to the tires, so the thing pushes like crazy in turns, on concrete, tar, dirt, grass, anything. but when it does turn ok, the rear breaks loose...fun for drifting

I'll wait till i get the Honda cr 250 engine pulled out of the bike and swap it into the pink Kart then i'll take it to the drag strip, Im secure with my feminine side. LOL! The drag strip is only 2 miles from my shop, Thursday nights!

Shake, That came out awesome! Both your girls look like they are having a blast. Great Job Man!

Anderkart, Thats a great idea. Im definitely gonna relocate the kill switch. Thanks for the tip and all the help in the build. I greatly appreciate it.

Your welcome but I'd suggest leaving your stock kill switch in place. (it's kinda handy to have one back there within reach if the throttle sticks while starting...)

I'd just mount another (2-wire) Momentary type push button sw. like this in one of your steering wheel spoke holes:
(you'd just supply a ground source to one of its terminals and connect the other to your old kill switch/oil sensor wire to have dual kill switches)

Got it, Thanks Ander. Im off to Ace hardware n Radio Shack to see what they have.

Thanks Big Head.

Shake, for sure will need some video. I can just picture a Pink kart with a CR 250 motor going up against a Riced out 240 sx.

Couldn't you just clip one half of the lead into the factory kill and just wire the momentary button in so that pushing it trips the current into the switch? It would be very simple. I bypassed mine by removing the stock switch from the circuit and extending both wires to a mount on the steering column support. It's a big red toggle. :)

Well we finally had a chance to present the Kart to her this weekend. She had a blast. Went to a good size lot on Sat where she rode for a good hour and half. They use the lot on sunday for church parking so i searched the industrial area on sat night to find a good size lot away from the main streets to ride on Sunday. I found a huge lot in the back of a warehouse but when we went on Sunday there was a motorcycle stunt team practicing there. They said it was cool to ride the kart so we just stayed over in the side parking lot. She still had a blast and is getting the hang of it really fast.

I regulated the pedal so it only goes down about half an inch which is good enough speed for now. The more seat time she has the more i'll open up the throttle.

Good looking out, I'll make sure its tied and under her jacket next time. Im looking for a cool racing jacket for her like a motorcycle jacket or similar.

This is my favorite pic. I told her to always keep your eyes looking into the turn and not whats around you. If you stare at the tree, your gonna hit the Tree.

That is a nice pic.
For the record, I don't like the idea of a "momentary" switch. In order to kill the engine, you have to hold the button down until the engine comes to a full stop. Releasing it while the engine is still turning, even slowly, will cause the engine to run again. IMO, not good in a crisis. Using a proper on-off switch takes this complication away. Whether it be a toggle, a push-pull, a push-push, or rotating switch, I would strongly suggest one that stays in the off position.
