And so after 7 years the restore finally starts. Just got frame back from powder coat. This one's gonna be sick. IMO the baddest Fl250 in the world. This car was what started my whole fl250 hoarding and building addiction. 360cc CammexRacing Products big bore 250r jug and head. Water cooled. Low to the ground. Made to get around a track fast.

This build is gonna go fast. Buckle up.

Enjoy.

Looking good. Are you not worried that the powder coat will chip while doing the restore? Is there nothing to weld etc on the frame?

All fab work is already done. I hope. This was running car. So all should be good. This is first powder coat anything for me. Looks killer.

It does look good. You have been more the POR15 type of guy:D

Ya huh. I made good money on that barstool so greenbacks are burning hole in my pocket. Plus I wanted to go all out. My grand finally of my fl250 days. The last hurrah if you will.

I also bought two 1982 honda mopeds for $500 cash.

Here the are. Honda urban express 49cc. Both run great with titles. We will enjoy these for a bit. They then will become trade bait for whatever i find next.

Aw man that powder coat looks nice on there! Do you have the original fenders and plastics for it? I have always wanted one of these beasts they look like so much fun and are built to take the abuse!

This car never had the fenders or plastic. It purpose built to race in the odyssey class 3 back in the day. Here is a pic of what my car would have raced against. I am going for this look less nerfbars.

Only thing fl250 left on it is the steering wheel and engine mount. A few other little things that keeps it an odyssey.

Yes all thermosiphon. Dont know much about it though. Radiator is out of LT250 sSuzuki quad racer.
I have a 1946 International Farmall Cub tractor that has thermosiphon cooling, not that your machine is any relation to a farm tractor by any means :lolgoku: as high as the radiator is mounted on your machine thermosiphoning should work just fine.

Looks great! I love the pipe, it looks similar to the ones I build, I used to desert race a Suzuki LT250 good machine in it's day and there was a guy that would race a stock Honda odyssey in our class against us which took a lot of balz sitting in that machine banging over the terrain of course your car has better suspension that the stock configuration that he had, funny thing not to jack your thread for a moment is I found some pictures in my tool box after retiring of me after I had just completed a 100 mile National Desert race on that Suzuki back in the late 80's and I won my class that day and that guy in the Odyssey did indeed finish that race it took him a while but he did it. I always wondered why more people who owned Odysseys did not enter the desert races at the time and start their own class they would of had a blast.
