There's one Casey's gas station that keeps raising and lowering it's prices. One day it's $2.99 and the next it's $3.09 per gallon, then stays like that for a couple days.

Well, back to the topic guys, seems weird when you read the first post and how crazily alarmist I was back then. Everything’s fine now! 😜

Anyway, to revisit Hal Turner again he writes that an lubricant industry insider says now would be a great time to stock up on oils too. Motor oils, transmission fluids, industrial lubricants, etc. Hal and Grok🤖 break it down…

Approximately 40% of global GTL Group 3 base oil production is offline as of 3 weeks ago due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East.

This is a critical component of almost every modern motor oil, transmission fluid, PSF fluid, industrial lubricant, etc on the market.

Our last shipment of GTL Group 3 base oil comes in April 7th. The blended products will start to go out the end of that week and the earliest wind-down of retail stock availability for products already in a production freeze is expected to start April 14th.

By the way, what are gas prices like now in your AO? Edit: I don’t wanna know. 😬

$3.59 around here today. Not the end of the world, yet. I remember in 2022 I paid over $4.00 a gallon and there was no "conflict" going on. :ROFLMAO: By this summer I bet the average will be around $1.50ish.

This is one of those components of life in the USA that we tolerate, but we should not. The price of fuel will instantly increase at the slightest indication that global supply may be affected by the wind changing direction. And you know I do mean INSTANTLY. But once the supply is restored, prices behave more or less as you would expect the market to, gradually reducing over time. This instant and almost always gratuitous hike in prices is pure money grabbing BS on the part of fuel suppliers. And don't get all "supply and demand" on me here, the local supply of fuel is not impacted by missiles in Iran the day or hour the 1st missile falls. And while raising the price instantly may slightly curb demand, that demand also is a behavior that takes time to change. Rant grrrrr

What’s motor oil prices in your locale look like, fellas?
I probably waited too late to stock up on oil. Need some lawnmower oil and some full synthetic for the beater daily driver.

My buddy is out looking for oil.

The price of fuel will instantly increase at the slightest indication that global supply may be affected by the wind changing direction.

Turns out Glorious Leader has been manipulating the petroleum markets and his buddy boys been raking in billions with his war/ceasefire, war/ceasefire game.

Truth be told I am running SuperTech full synthetic in the truck now. Still Dexos rated so that's a plus. I buy AC Delco and Motorcraft oil filters for the vehicles. Oil I don't care brand really anymore. I just refuse to buy bad filters. Fram is having a shortage, bevause their parent company filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protections for restructuring.

Orange cans of death.

Im picky about my filters too. I like wix.

Oil, I try to use Valvoline if I can get it. But I'll use what I can get. The carquest house brand was made by Amalie. Not sure now that they rebranded.
