Kinda looks good is a GROSS understatement. One of a kind. Beautiful. Unique. When you do drive it, do you have a place where you can let it feel it's oats. Are you interested in finding out it's potential?

I was questioning the jetting, unfortunately I don't the the first thing about carbs so I may have to pull in a expert!

It's a 2 carb, I am going to insert a 1.5" washer in the exhaust between header and straight to see if choking it off a bit helps

It sounds like the pilot jetting in those carbs may be lean. That's the idle mixture. So when you accelerate, the main jet takes over, which may be fine but would be rich compared the pilot if the pilot is lean. The transition back to idle momentarily causes fuel starvation and the high oxygen condition that results in the exhaust for that few milliseconds ignites unburnt gases and causes the "pop". True, it is a delicate balance. Given that there are 2 carbs, they also need to be balanced and as such, it could be only one causing the issue. It may be as simple a balancing them so that one is not more or less open or closed than the other.

It is done! All wiring, sift linkage, fuel lines, all fabrication done, and brakes and clutch bled! All I need to do is clean it up and put the body work on tomorrow!!! I drove it out of the garage into the driveway yesterday!!! That was rewarding enough. Trying to find a trailer to rent to get it somewhere to really drive it. Put it next to my station wagon just for kicks.KIMG1753~2.JPGP1010452.JPGP1010432~2.JPGP1010452~3.JPGP1010432.JPGP1010441.JPGKIMG1769.JPG
