Well I'm still working on the go kart efi engine, I've built another ecu and now have looked at the logs to find most of my issues are with trying to start it.
The ecu needs to see a smooth start to stop it resyncing the missing tooth and messing up the ignition events.
I have purchased the following:
High CCA ATV battery £30
Bearings for the shaft £17
Impact socket x2 £11
1/2" impact extensions £9
Starter push button £6
second bendix motor £50
The all important electric starter kit. Cheap! £70
Can't post ebay links, I'll post photos when the stuff arrives, unfortunately it's going to be a couple of weeks.
The GX390 bendix motor goes the wrong way, I need to mount it back to front
The second motor will increase torque and speed, this will ensure a smooth turn over and stop wrist breaking kickbacks!
The impact extension will be machined and welded into a 30mm shaft, the ring gear will mount onto a disc and drive the 30mm shaft.
I have a choice of Ali or steel for the frame, I'll make the decision when I start fabbing up.
I posted in the wrong section, I'll continue the build here
