exactly! the w-16 is 4 banks of 4 cylinders! thats why it is a quad turbo! 1 turbo on each bank

or you can put multiple manifolds, say 1 manifold for every 4 cylinders. did you watch the video? it shows 8 per bank.

want to know something cool? the Veyron W-16 makes 1000 hp from a quad k03 turbo 8.0l 16 cylinder.

divide all that out by 4 and you get a 2.0l 4 cylinder single turbo making 250 hp. its basically 4 2.0Ts fused together. you could make a TON more power out of a Veyron if you wanted

ya but the only reason they dont is because they have the turbos set to like 6 psi! they only turboed the car to get better fuel economy and better mileage

watched a drag race between mclaren and veyron, the mclaren had him 3/4 of the mile they set up. at the last the spoiler on the veyron pops up, and cleans the mclaren's clock. i'd still take the mclaren. better engine and tranny. by as much as it lost, it could be regeared and win all over again.

Look at the combustion chambers in the head on th Bugatti engine video at the 1:50 mark. It's a pair of very narrow angle V8 engines. Similar to the VW VR6 motor, which is a V6, but at such a narrow angle it uses a single head.

They call it a W16 because it's easier than explaining a "Double-V 16".
