Fair Price for a West Bend 580

Hello All,
I am looking for some opinions on what a fair price is for a used and not restored but running West Bend 580 engine? Thank you in advance.

step 1: log onto ebay
step 2: type "West Bend 580" in the search bar
step 3: scroll down a little bit to the right hand side and you will see 'completed listings' check that or even the 'sold listings'

Thank you. I did do that before asking. As we all know, ebay isn't always a valid reference for "fair" pricing depending on the item. I was looking to validate what I found on ebay. I should have stated that in the original post. Sorry.

Unfortunately I have to disagree with you.

ebay is a "known to many" source for all sorts of stuff;
and thus it's the "go to" spot for many that search for or want to get rid of a part.

And a sold part has a price that the two parties have agreed upon.
willingly and freely.
So it is by all means a "fair price"

It might be more than you are willing to spend,
but think about it the other way around: the seller might have expected MORE
(or at least hoped for more)

IMHO, Grant is spot on when it comes to answering your question about a "fair price"
especially since he told you to look out for sold items.

But if you want to take a subjective perspective (as a seller OR buyer)
then no.. no deal will ever be fair

Anyways, check CL or your local classifieds in paperform, paper has a much lower impact these days,
and thus chances you need to fight a co-bidder (hehe) are more to your favour.
