I'm looking for a gokart or mini bike style throttle cable from 10' - 12' long, any ideas? Grainger has some "exterior throttle cables" that are 15' +
extra long throttle cable?

I have one on my go kart that is a solid wire inside. as opposed to the wire cable. Anyway I was told it came of a boat. Does that make sense to you? I imagine you know more about boats than me.
So maybe a boat throttle??

I use bicycle cable.
Any bike shop will cut it to any custom length you want complete with shielding and ferrules.

Or you can buy tandem bicycle cable

do you have ace hardware there in Phoenix, AZ?
Mine has giant spools you can get cut to length - about $0.90 a foot here.

As Russ said, a bicycle shop is what you need. They'll make the cables to whatever length you need.

I also used bike cable like Russ
my local bike shop had the wire, the sheath, the ferules and the ends. All parts either teflon or silicone coated. I took them home, cut everything to fit exactly and then crimped everything together. It was my first time doing anything like that and it was easier than I thought.
