Have a ground up bike build, What would be the loudest possible exhaust pipe I could make? Our school has a race day and we all race the bikes and karts we build.

Well, no exhaust is the loudest but, it's not really healthy for the engine so, straight pipe...

The header needs to be as close to the port size as possible but, after that, the larger the diameter tube, the deeper the note... (just don't go stupid...)

Sorry bout that. And... Earlier years, friends have used dual 10" semi stacks.. I know straight pipe will be the go to but I was thinking about doing something unique and different..

1" - 1& 1/4" would be the largest I'd go, for a straight pipe. Too big is just too big.....
Buy or build a stepped header..... It's loud and sounds good.....

Your most likely going to need a new air filter and a carb rejet with the new header.

Nah, exhaust only needs no change to air or fuel..... Change air and fuel,THEN you change exhaust ..... BUT exhaust only is ok.

Make a short, small diameter 'dump' pipe. The shorter the louder.

Aim it in the direction of the crowd. That will make it seem loud to the crowd.
