On my build, I just traced the original from the motor(you do have the original right?) on paper. Cut out the trace close to the size you can get, also mark the centers of the stud bolts( im also assuming it has studs in the block, not the screw in type).
Then take the trace and mark on the the steel blank for the flange with a scribe, something sharp ect. (or you could glue it onto the piece aswell).
Cut it out with a hacksaw or the like. set it up for welding.

i know the first one wont work cause its made of copper and wont weld, the second link said you can weld it to 1" pipe so as long as it fits your engine, go for it. if it works share and if it doesnt share that too.

If you are going to build your own, how about using what you got.
Take a piece of paper and trace it on the block if you don't have the factory exhaust.

Ok, thank you. I do understand now. Also don't take this wrong, I am trying to help as all of us here, we just need more info.
As far as I can see, the area in the pic where the surface mates with the block is the area where you will need to trace out. You will need to have some of the pipe into the block like the stock muffler.
You will need to have shorter bolts as the flange is going to be an 1/8" not like an inch. You'll need to judge that yourself, shim it up with small washers if needed.
You'll most likely need to brace the pipe ahead a bit, mount it to the block or the like, usually I think about a foot from the header.

What he said, well that's what I said originally. Get a piece of copper flashing, and have that cut out into the shape of the flange, use that for the gasket.
Inside's need to match, the outer rim can be for whatever available. Like pictured above.
