Hello from Missouri. I turned 71 a few months ago and am smack dab in the middle of finally fulfilling a childhood dream of getting a go cart. A couple months ago I stumbled upon an old Dingo frame rusting away and after making a few inquiries it ended up in my shop.
I quickly found out the old engine was shot, the only parts of the torque converter that were still attached were the back plate and half of the driver pulley and it was rusted badly inside and out, various other parts had been removed and were laying in the bottom of a five gallon bucket that came with it. Some parts were completely missing.
Oh and all four tires were flat and showed quite a bit of weather check, cracks etc. With so many obvious problems I hesitated on whether or not to to rebuild it but eventually decided to give it a go. Been at it a couple of weeks now. Karting is all new to me but 30 years spent maintaining all the machinery in a feed mill and possibly a bit of advice from the kart experts here should help me put this thing back together.
