I finally got what I always wanted... it sits 2 inches off the ground... it goes 0-60 in X seconds... just have a look at it...

I need to make some Youtube videos of this experience. It's great to ride a kart that can make you wet your pants. It's not the fastest kart out there, but man she rips. It almost doesn't feel safe to ride in the neighborhood.

Here's the best part... I don't know what's inside that little Predator, but on the outside it looks mostly stock. If I put some more parts on it, there's no telling how fast it will go.

I had to drive an hour and a half to pick it up. All worth it though.

The plans right now are to combine the best parts from both Predators and have one mean machine. Then I'll sell the other engine.

Well the Predators are combined. My header pipe and flywheel come in tomorrow. The we'll see how much harder it pulls. Rolling starts are so much fun on this thing. It almost feels like it 's hitting boost.

Let that engine breathe! I looked at the first pic and thought "0-60 in 5 sec on a stock Predator? No way." But if the internals had work that would make sense then. That's what I call a sleeper! That intake/exhaust should really free up some power. Any idea what you're getting on top end? And plans to put a Juggernaut on it for some crazy torque?

I'm currently running a Max Torque centrifigal clutch. It grips instantly and doesn't slip. I couldn't ask for more.

I'm not sure about an actual hp number, but a few guys on Youtube claim to make 20+hp on similar setups.

Yeah, save the torque converters for yard karts. A racing chassis deserves a centrifugal clutch, its just better that way.

Im jealous, nice kart! Id probably bottom out on my road, its rough, but they are repaving it this year. Maybe soon.

Not trying to criticize, but id get a strap on that header, thats alot of unsupported pipe, probably won't hurt.

Yea I scrape the gutter leaving/entering the driveway.

I'm not sure how to support the header. The frame and engine are all aluminum so I can't weld steel to it. Probably have to use some self tapping screws.

I think this thing would do great on a newly paved road. It has trouble getting traction on my old road. I'm currently in search of a large abandoned parking lot where I could open it up all the way and do some doughnuts.

My neighborhood roads are pretty short and populated so I don't have anywhere to really open it up. More than 60 though. It amazes me how it accelerates so quickly and still has a high top speed.

I'd like to see a recorded 60 m.p.h., our stage 1 predator is in the 45-50 range and has similar torque, takes more than 5 seconds to hit that speed as well....

It's not just a stage 1 Predator. I wish I would have made an album to store all the pics of the build. It's also running a .265 cam, port work, decking on head and block, 32lb valve springs. ARC rod, full governor delete down to even removing the gear from the crank and tapping the holes, shaved the crankshaft, oil sensor delete, PVL flywheel,...

But yea since my GoPro does a speedometer function and a timer function I could probably get a goos shot at it. All 4 new tires are here as of today. So I should get good enough traction to do a decent pull.

And the PVL flywheel only has 28 degrees BTDC so I added a advance key with it. Also forgot to mention the flat top piston from GPS. Probably not adding enough power to even note, but that engraved arrow vs the indent on the stocker is adding something... no matter how small...
