Recently I acquired a really beautiful Loncin engine from Alibaba. It is a 740 CC V-Twin 27 horsepower engine. It cost $515 US and the shipping cost was about $250 from China to California. I'm going to install it into what used to be an easy go Marathon golf cart but to look at it you would never recognize it in its current form. Right now it looks like a warthog from the HALO series. I'm using a comet 40 series centrifugal clutch torque converter and we'll just see how that goes.

Right on, man. You should tear it open, at least the sump cover and inspect the innards. They put a weird molasses colored preservative oil in some of them that looks icky, plus you'd want to check for manufacturing residue (metal shavings, swarf, etc).

I like the custom exhaust, much better than that factory setup although I like some stealth. Is it possible to adapt the actual muffler on the end?

I loved the old Marathon rear suspension but hated the steering. Then when the Medalist/TXT came out I fell in love with the rack & pinion steering but hated the rear leaf spring suspension. I’m a former EZ-GO dealer.
