Engine won't start!!

Okay- since the spark is fine, and the ignition timing checks out, examine the compression next.

I did a compression test on the go kart and I got a reading of 45 psi. What's going on?

When doing a compression test, roll the engine over backwards for a more accurate reading- this way, the compression relief mechanism that makes pull-starting easier does not affect the test results.

I found out that I had a bent intake valve and replaced it. Now it will crank but have a low idle and stalls when the air filter is on or when I cover it with my hand. I am going to change the oil later and see if that makes a difference.
