Engine with transmission.

Anyone know where to find a 200-400cc engine with a transmission? The only thing I can think of is find a wrecked four wheeler or something.

I'd like to have a transmission with reverse, I have plans to build a shifter cart and a few other projects

Well you can always add reverse the Fred Flintstone style, five minutes and an angle grinder will do.

A typical gokart doesn't have reverse... Is it really nessisary to have it?

If one were so inclined... Could go the 4wd buggy route with a modified starter and ring gear....an electric reverse...

That's what I was thinking, I want to modify an electric golf cart to an engine powered one. But it's been sitting outside for probably a decade
