Do the Victa engines need the weight of the blade to keep running at idle? If so then your clutch probably engages at too low of an rpm for your engine to maintain an idle. If your engine requires 2000 rpm to stay running but your clutch engages at 1800 rpm you essentially don't have a clutch. Plus I still say you're way too high geared for a 2 stroke btw your front sprocket in the pic is 15 tooth not 12.
