engine trouble

here is my honda 3.5hp. it was going but it was leaking out of the carby. turns out that the float had a hole in it. so i replaced it now the engine wont start. would iit be because i put thefloat in wrong?

Did you replace the float or the carburetor?

Spray some starting fluid in it, see if she fires and keeps running.

Height of float must be set to factory spec by bending float tang that contacts needle.
