So I've finally finished all of the core things on the go kart needed to get the engine to run. I put in a pull style choke, linked the pedal to the throttle, routed exhaust tubing, and mounted/hooked up the gas tank. The 2 front brakes work and the rear brake will soon work once it is mounted properly.

I took a quick video today before the sun went down of the engine running and it sounds awesome.

Now its up to how fast my package gets here with my clutch parts.

TURN UP YOUR BASS TO WATCH THE VIDEO!!! The engine noise is really deep so low bass will not give you the truest sound.

I'm almost done finishing up my little buggy like yours. It is very similar. Nice job.

What motor are you running?

Its an Onon p220g twin cylinder rated at 20hp@3600rpm 800cc.

This is a really time consuming project.......

I'm working on something right now that taps into the ignition system to measure the rpm of the engine.

Hopefully I can test it out tomorrow because measuring the rpm is not all it does. I was reading about ALS turbo systems and figured well if I don't have a turbo it should just spit fire.......:wai:

There is a keypad where I can enter a variable delay and a big red switch that when flipped should trigger a 5 - 50ms delay in the firing of the spark plugs. This should in theory result in an incomplete combustion and make some flames shoot out the straight pipes.

Probably not good for the engine (mainly valves) but good for showing it off to people for a brief amount of time (few seconds at most).
