I'm mocking up my drivetrain and the way this frame was built I'm limited on space. Maybe the 13hp engine has something to do with that, too. Whatever.

After trying out a couple different arrangements, this is what I've come up with. Do you see any glaring problems or things I could to do improve it? I considered moving the engine forward as far as I could to get the driven clutch to the rear of the engine but it didn't work out.

In the picture from underneath the kart, the rear of the kart is at the bottom.

Nice save :lolgoku:

It's a pity the driven won't fit behind the engine because the engine should really be in front of the axle (to improve handling)

 Thanks. After posting I realized my engine plate didn't yet have slots for the engine mount. I won't bother until I nail down the configuration, naturally.

A pity indeed. The engine is limited in how far forward it can be based on the seat position, but maybe I can live with a slight reduction in legroom in order to move the engine forward? I'll check into that.

I looked at that when I was shopping for parts, but thought the bearing mount spots were holes rather than slots. Also, I was afraid that box would limit my mounting location flexibility.

I now see that the holes are indeed slots but have already bought pillow blocks and since they have slots in them I'm not sure how this engine mount plate would be much of an advantage anyway. Thanks, though.

The engine and jackshaft are both bolted to that. It will bolt to engine plate and the whole thing is adjustable with the engine plate slots
