Engine suggestions for a big guy

I am a big guy (6'4 350 lbs) looking to build an offroad buggy, was thinking for my size using a atv engine but open for suggestion because green on the karting thing.

Either an atv motor if you are ok with rigging a shifting system or a 13 hp clone with a torque converter. Or a nice big twin cylinder briggs. The atv may be the best value because of salvage-able parts. Or a snow mobile.

yea atv engine have plenty kick out of them, remember you could also lighten the kart ie drill holes where no major stress point is visible

How about a 600+ cc bike engine. That'll move you and a bus load of friends. OK that may be wrong but a crotch rocket power plant should get you movin' fast. Look for one that is cosmetically wrecked or totaled, often the motors are good with little or no work and parts can be salvaged/ sold. Many have said they have broken even with sold parts.
