Engine size

I was always told to go big or go home I have access to a 13 hp GX390 w/electric start. Is that over kill? Top speed? I would like to see 60 at some time

all depends on what your gonna use it on.i would use it for a two seater go kart

sounds good to me. make sure you can get a clutch for it. horizontal shaft -- right?

13 hp! 60 km/h easy!! just don't go too big or heavy its it'll get along just fine. a two seater should be alrite. you'll want a pretty big chain as well, 13hp is alot of grunt (for a single chain drive) good luck post some pics of the build as well
