Engine Shaft Sprocket???

So I have a b and s 5hp engine with 3/4 inch shaft. Is it OK to use a sprocket instead of a centrifugual clutch on it? What are the pros and cons?

You will have direct drive. So push to start and then dont stop

Eh, as Joe once said: prop up the rear of the kart (with several wobbly items, a cinder block, etc) so the wheels are off the ground, start the engine, hop in the seat, floor it and at the same time jostle the kart so it falls off its prop.
