Ok.. I am rebuilding a kart for my son and everything on it is basically new including replacing the 5hp B&S with a 3hp Predator. I also got new. Chain, clutch and sprocket. Two questions.

What mounting plate should I use to raise the engine and move it closer to the drive wheel. Or just remove and re-weld.

Does anyone know the bolt specs for the output shaft bolt for the 79cc predator that will hold the clutch on (no set screw clutch).

Thank you everyone.

should be in the users manual, but it is typically imperial fine thread (5/16" is for the 3/4" shafts, so if i were to guess it would be 5/16" or 1/4" fine thread).

I cant help you with the sprocket dillema, as i would just weld up a plate for it, but you might be able to get some 5/16" bolts and space them out with some nuts to get it closer to the engine if the sprocket is bolted to the wheel hub.

Would it be possible to use hollow square metal tubing, and cantilever two pieces out to the outboard side of the go kart?
