Engine mount troubles

Ok I got my 11hp electric start H.F. engine today. I was anxiously awaiting its arrival so I could get it mounted and than wait for the converter which should be here Friday. Well I put the motor on the mount started to get the bolts in and realized that if I use that mount the jackshaft and the engine shaft don't line up. Its off by a couple of inches at least. Now I have to get some kind of a plate made to attach the motor.

Was just looking at the jack shafts and I currently have a 14" and the next size up is a 19". Do you just put washers behind the driven unit on the jack shaft to push it out? How hard are they to change?

Depends on your setup. You will also want to add a support bearing as close to the driven as possible.

How do you take the jack shaft off? I'm going to take it off tomorrow and measure it, I'm thinking now that I may only have a 12" and I'm hoping that a 14" will do the job.
