engine cuts out and dies..

Difficulty starting. Spark plug seems to have spark only when stopping the turnover..
Once started, it will cut out and die. it also never seems to have full throttle.. this is a Manco engine.. 125.. or 5 hp

For a starters I would give the carb a good clean just to rule it out as being the source of the problem

Im only guessing that your issue is electrical (spark)?... 'could' possibly a loose/bad magneto(maybe too much of a 'gap'?). Make sure the remote cutoff switch isnt grounding out somewhere(disconnect the cutoff switch wire n see if it still does it). Maybe try another plug(ensure it's the proper one for the motor!)?

Plus the fact, that I have never seen a 125cc (?) engine for sale at TSC. So lets try the engine type again. Does it have a low oil shut down?

Check and see if it has a "low oil" shut off sensor. If it does, every sharp turn will shut it down, especially turns to the left..... (IIRC )
