Engine clone question

I have a clone engine and was wanting to know what it is a clone of. It says engine family 5cpes.389e05. Not sure if that says what it is a clone of if so please tell me. It's 337cc and honda gx 390 gas tank and recoil start fit perfect on it.

Gx390's have 389cc displacement. Could be a sign for you there...

Carb looks funky. I have only seen that fuel shut off solenoid on the larger v-twins, pretty neat! Anything stamped on the engine block anywhere?

Also, gx340's and gx390's have a lot of interchangeable parts (tank, shroud, flywheel, pull start, carb, air filter, could have more I am only sure about those specifically) could be a gx340 clone based on your 337cc statement... No idea though, just guessing. How did you know it was 337cc?

It's a gx340 clone. The cover says it's a 337cc engine. China makes a clone for every Honda model......

Kind of a shot in the dark with that clone but I say go for it!!! Just make sure you try it on the engine before your return period is over.

Look on ebay. A lot of times they will list that that kit fits certain clones or other makes.....
