hello all
im a newbie in every sense so i need some expert help. i recently bought a manco xtk-710e from a buddy he didnt use it any more. im currently fixing it because it sat engine is rough but i got it running. some small parts. a shock, choke cable fixed the seats. all in all it runs still whating for some carb seals. to take it out. i got it for $100 bucks so it was worth it.
(my son is 3 so ill break it in for him) i recently got a honda gx340. my question is will a honda gx 340 fit on this cart without any major mods i know the shaft is the same size but will i need a new jack shaft and torque converter im not sure were shaft sits in ratio to the subaru. and just not sure it will work at all has any one done this. all repleys will be helpful thanks

hey, the switch shouldnt bee to hard seeing as your just going from 12, to 13hp. It should bolt right up. I would take apart the tc and clean it to make sure that it is nice and functioning properly, then the rest should just bolt up.

13hp is alot for a 3 year old boy. haha using the kids as an excuse to get a kart????? lol

i grew up with quads but hes not ready for that so you think the tc will work spacing and all i might have to drill new mounting holes. i did take the tc apart and clean and dry lube.

The 13hp should be fine for a 3 year old, i dont know what you are on about
If you plan to let your son ride it I would extend the pedals and put a throttle stop on, as well as gearing it low. If the kart is just for him (which it doesnt sound like it is) i would sell that 13hp and get a 6.5hp. Or wait 10 years?

its not just for me theres alot of kids in the family ranging in age and its a 2 seater so my son will ride along. i was just woundering if the other engine would work if the subaru gets broke wich most likely it will ill try to get some pics if i can find the camera.... thanks
