i know this sounds silly..
but at this stage I actually encourage it...
why? Its new forum software...
I need to see its capabilities...
Starting a new car related site in about a month...and I do not know which of the three I will use...
Either PHPBB, Vbulletin, or Xenforo...
While I will say xenforo is advanced its hard to really see its capabilities without users...
One reason I post it in here as this place is the only karting place I visit.
You do not have to mod xenforo like you do PHPBB from an admin perspective. For example with PHPBB you have to mod the site just to be able to link or embed youtube sites.
You USED to have to mod vbulletin (which is the platform DIY sits) before you could embed youtube videos in a post.
Instead of a "thanks" button like this site has, on xenforo you get a FB like "LIKE" button for posts... Once you post, the site auto encourages posting by giving "trophies."
Also, there is no PM system. They are called "Conversations"
on xenforo. Say you wanted to PM toystory.... You send him a "conversation" from your control panel. Once you submit the "conversation" there is a tic box where you can allow or disallow other members to jump into the conversation. It is completely separate from the regular forums but anyone can view a conversation. On my prior Xenforo build I had no issues with spam whatsoever. Only got members posts.
So that I can test the sites features ect, spamming is encouraged!

If I can get at least a couple more of members from DIY to join I will add some more stuff and some more forums.
Change colors or what not. I have put up some pics of my karts and a couple of videos as well. "stud lee do right" will be here this weekend to use the site ( he dont have pc access from his home) so he can update his profile and post more pics of his TAV project etc. He is wanting to buy a motor cycle style carb from the-cyborg to put on his Intek 8.5. That ought to be exciting. Besides, I also encourage you to talk smak on your buddy on kartman karts...

Also, we have the-cyborg as admin on the site as well to keep all you guys in line!
Oh I forgot something else.. I am a post *W*H*O*R*E and need people to chat with other than myself!
