Electrical switch wiring question.

I have an RV leveling jack.
I want to wire it to a switch to control up and down, which obviously needs to be a reversing polarity set up.

I'm guessing A DPDT is what's needed.

Brain fart.

How do I wire to this switch?

No I got tired of waiting for FA, and googled it.

just make sure the switch can take the motors amps.

A too small switch might weld shut due to the connection spark internally on higher amps.
that'd be unpleasant

This one was at Grainger. Rated 18A @ 28VDC.

He said it was the largest they had.

The company that makes the levelers is no more, and there's no info tag on the motors.

The wiring to the motors isn't very large, so I think I'm good.

I hope you're right and it's big enough (rated high enough)
I can't tell from here of course.. if you have a good indicator for toggle switch ratings is usually the fuse that's in the circuit.
So if you have a 30A fuse the 18A switch might be a bit weak.. a 20A fuse or smaller and you should be fine.

You could use an old style Ford starter solenoid with the lower amp switch.
