We have an older Bolens riding lawn mower that we can not get to start. Were pretty sure its an electrical problem and have replaced the solenoid and the ignition switch along with checking all the other switches but it still wont start or even make a noise like the starter motor is engaging. Any Ideas on what to try next? I don't know all the information on the mower off the top of my head but can post it later if that will help. Thanks

Show us pictures of the electrical wiring. It could be that a wire has been damaged and a connection is no longer being made. It could be that a switch has broke (But is very unlikely). Does the electric start spin when the key turns? Thats something to look into. Newb thing here also: Check the battery and see if its putting out a good enough voltage.

We have checked all the switches and they seem to be in working order. All the connections have been cleaned and checked. The starter motor doesnt do anything when you turn the key but you can make it spin by bypassing everything and just touching the contact on the motor. We just fully recharged the battery and still cant get it to do anything. The only wires we haven't been able to check fully are two that run under the fly wheel and disappear, Im not sure where they lead to though... We've been using a wiring diagram we found online to check but still havent made any progress.

Thanks for the suggestions though!

So it turns out we had the problem fixed but we forgot to reconnect one of the switches after checking and cleaning it so everything works now!

Thanks
