Electric quad to gas conversion...possible or waste of money?

That is great advice! I just tested and it seemed to lose tightness when the shock was compressed, so that is good. Don't have to worry about that now.

The best part about the set up on this quad is you adjust chain tightness by moving the axle, NOT the engine. My go cart has to have the engine moved forwards/back to get it to tighten, which can be a pain.

I will definitely keep an eye on the tightness however! I appreciate the heads up.

Just to update, the little 2-stroke engine is super finicky and nearly impossible for family members to do by themselves.

So, going back to an electric set up!

I got a few good rips around the yard on it, but it was hard for family members to operate so back to electric it is.
