I was given this thing for free and after cleaning the carburetor it runs great. Now I’d like to make it my own! I’m thinking about picking up a 6.5 hp predator from Harbor Freight and putting that on there. Any ideas on what else I’ll need and a place to buy torque converter, maybe new rear wheel? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hello and welcome...
It will be a bit of work to convert... but the TC will add unnecessary weight and potentially bias the bike over a ways..... Id just stick to the regular cent clutch.
Typically you can get #35 chain clutches but then you will need to do some work to get the rear sprocket to fit the rim.....
With that being said... you can also find( pretty rare though) #25 chain clutches or at least the drive sprocket is #25 to fit the rear sprocket chain size...

Score!!!

What engine do you have on there at the moment?

It’s he stock 43cc right now. I have to do some research or the difference between TC’s and Clutches. So what you guys are saying is the 6.5 is a good idea, but with a clutch instead of TC? Where could I buy something like that, and also get a tire for the rear and rim with that sprocket?

Off hand...

There is no off the shelf drop in fitted parts out there... You'll mostlikely need to make a new rear swingarm to fit any other wheel...
Another thing is the hub for the wheel will have to have some kind of boss for sprockets and the brake... That I'm sure will be a custom made piece without going live axle. Then there is a whole ball of wax for that construction...

Your mostlikely going to need a jackshaft setup to either accomondate the length of the motor width and/or the tire width to have some kind of decent chain alignment..

You'll have to do a search on the google for other pocketbike 212 conversions... See what has been done...
I have a basic pocket bike and have wondered about doing this aswell, but there is several distinct aspects to get over to do so...

Thanks, this is my first mini bike project. I figured it’s not going to be easy, but now I’m wondering if I should just find an old frame instead of trying to convert this. I got some work and googling ahead of me.

Ya it's a bit of work... Mainly why I haven't converted mine yet... I'd have to find a good tire candidate, then all the running gear, live or dead, ect... Each is it's own beast.
