So has anyone else who buys from non-businesses on ebay noticed a lot more items coming in significantly not as described or flat-out nonfunctional?

This month alone I think I've had to return 4 of 8 items. I'm about to stop using Ebay altogether, it's getting rediculous.

Could just be bad luck, or there could be an actual problem. I avoid ebay altogether.

you have to know what you are buying on ebay. there is more chinese copy crap that flat out will not work in some cases. other times things require serious modification to fit. i even got some motor mounts that were made in tiawan, but boxed in india. they simply did not fit the car without grinding and elongating bolt holes. i was fairly pissed, but what do you expect for a pontiac sunbird? so if you buy name brand stuff on ebay and it comes to you wrong/broken/unworkable, you have recourse. but if you buy cheap knock off stuff, expect cheap knock off stuff.

that being said, ive had decent luck with some stuff. the disc brake lock alarm i got worked perfectly, even after the slow boat from china. too bad someone lost it when i let them borrow my scooter...

I buy pretty much everything from ebay or amazon, however I have gone off buying bued or faulty (to fix) electrical goods, they never last as long.

I have had some problems, if they are a power seller I just sent them a message. In many cases, a new item was sent out no questions asked, and no return required!
