Can anyone tell me what the 356 indicates? Its built for an ohh55 engine, but i think i heard somewhere that ohh50, ohh55 and ohh60 share a camshaft. Can anyone confirm this?

:wai: All three engines share the same cam. Dyno 356 cam, has a lot of lift .356, It also requires a lot of block work and beefed up internals. If you are going to run this cam, make sure you check valve clearance between the valves and piston. It also requires different valve springs. Your best bet is to run a Dyno 245 cam.

thanks! would i need heavier springs or any internal work for the 245?

:wai: You are Welcome. That is a good question. I will have to check with my Buddy, who is into Tecumseh small block engines and get back to you. As he is the one that educated me on the 356 and suggested the 245.

:wai: Have not forgotten about the 245 cam? Waiting for my Buddy to get back in town. Hopefully this weekend.

is that just a dressed up ohh55?
Seller calls it a short block, but is more than that.
Looks like a steal at first glance, but then the tapered shaft reared its ugly head.
It's still a great deal, especially if you can replace the taper with a straight shaft.
I think I can spare the $39.00 plus $9.00 shipping.
