The lowest I have found so far is the 10 tooth or I would definitely
What size jackshaft? If it’s 5/8” you can get a 9t and 8t type c sprocket. Fairly common. If it’s 3/4” you might be out of luck.

Thanks guys , ordered 40 series genuine comet without backing plate and a 54 tooth (9 inch) #41 rear that should fit factory hub with slight mods and 10 tooth front #41 3/4” to fit jackshaft . Hope that helps , also it’s 22 inch tires.
man if i only read the posts before replying, this never would have happened. Now time top contribute something meaningful.... uhhhh man if i only read the posts before replying, this never would have happened. Now time top contribute something meaningful.... uhhhh
GIVEN
40 series torque converter
22" tires
10t jackshaft
54t axle
FIND
TOP SPEED AT 3600 RPM
43.6111 MPH

I will start on a dual jackshaft set up when the parts get here, the primary one with the driven pulley will have a 10 tooth and the secondary shaft will have either a 15 or 20 tooth input with 10 output . Then I can fine tune it with the axle sprocket . I will post pics as I build . I’m excited about fabbing it up! And happy turkey day all!
Unless you are working with split sprockets. It is usually much easier to fix the axle sprocket and fine tune with the Jackshaft sprocket. At least if by tune, you mean make changes. If by fine tune, you just mean achieve your desired ratio, then go ahead. JS sprockets are cheaper than rear sprockets. And you don't have to pull the axle to swap them.
Here's mine from my thread of my bike. Currently at 7:1(I beleve also at the state in this pic)
(photobucket is a douche, so I haven't reloaded all my pics again, I hope soon I can)
Update : new meat ! Dropped down a size to 20 inch from 22. Might be wishing I had that extra inch of ground clearance.. nice set of maxxis razrs I believe are 6 ply. Still waiting on jackshafts to arrive![]()
Looks sick!
Noob question but how did you orient the picture portrait style , mine keeps posting then landscape![]()

Do you know of any recommended steel split sprockets?
All of the split sprockets I've found are aluminum I think.
Will aluminum fail much faster than steel? I dunno?
Finally received the final jackshaft, trying to decide on a tensioner or what. Do the #41’s stretch much?
