duel brake rods..pic

they have a long brake rod that gos to a bar that works both brakes on the kart. i took one off to try to free it and i broke it. now i cant find one to match it.. any help

You could make one if you have some skills and tools. Otherwise, if you know the make and model of your kart, we've got a guy on here (Blazkowiez) that works in (or runs) a kart shop, perhaps he can help you. Failing all else, put up some pics of your kart. Surely somebody here can figure out what it is.

you can make a new one with tools and materials found at your local hardware store.

It's called a clevis. You can buy them online or with a rod as a kit pretty cheap.

It kinda looks like you could simply use a Clevis at each end. Most any good hardware store would stock these, plus a section of All Thread to replace your Rod.

personally, i wouldn't mind replacing a brake rod if it has already snapped.

i think im just going to thread a pice of rod. i have the rod already and some dyes so it shouldnt be to bad

well i had time to make a new rod today at work cause of the rain. it was really easy to do. the hard part was getting the old rod out the clevis. well here are some pictures of the new one next to the old

well i set them on the back bed cover of my truck and pulled off and forgot to grab them. so i lost them and have to make it again..

well im going to order a new clevis and build another one. i was not hard to build. just suck that i got to do it all over again.
