I have a ds650 quad that im thinking of takeing the engine off of it and puting it on a go kart frame that i will build , has any on done this or know if this would be a good motor?

yeah , not sure if i should make it on road / off road or just street , the motor has a 12:1 pistion . cams , efi and high preformance CdI, makes 60hp

Something with that sort of power needs 1" ground clearance and a roll cage.

Depends on the area around you. If you have an on road race track near you make an on-road kart. If you have some nice off-road places then make an off-road kart. With that engine it would be more of a buggy than a kart. Reverse will be a big help on an off-road buggy, I wish I could put it on mine.

Im actually in the process of building a buggy with a 500-650 engine (next bike auction on the 19th!)
