I have a Yerf Dog 3202... put on some 18" tires in the front. To make them work without rubbing I added some 2 1/2 inch wheel spacers. The Kart is mostly used off road on narrow rocky trails. The increased width is making it tough to navigate these trails. I'm thinking of dropping the spindle bolts to raise the front and decrease the width. I have a little understanding of the steering geometry(caster, camber, toe in and ackerman). Really, there isn't to much adjustability on the original kart from the factory. I did a quick sketch of what I'm thinking. Will it work? What are the problems? Just trying to see if this can be done. Thanks I'll try to attach a picture of the way it is now. I happen to have some extra spindles so I was going to weld it up and see what happens. But, if it surely isn't going to work I rather not.

One thing to remember is Jacking the Front 4" will shift more Weight to the rear. Therefore Lightening the Front. May cause understeer. (meaning you turn the front tires but the Kart want to continue going straight.

and worse it won't work well anyways..

keep in mind that this is adding a lever to bend the steering mechanism,
and while 4" doesn't seem like much I'd say it'll bend on the first rock or pothole you hit.
So what you should do instead is redo the front end thoroughly..
i.e.: add longer coilovers, maybe elongate the A-arms, then adjust the spindle brackets to correct the negative camber.

(instead of mounting longer coilovers you could also just move the lower pivot inwards.. but that'd soften the suspension.

I think you are correct. Back to the drawing board. Maybe I'll just widen the trails. Could always use more firewood. Thanks!
