Yup. Couldn't live without my drill press vise! Next on my to-get list is a cross-slide vise for it. I also make heavy use of my table clamp, like the one shown below.

Can't say I've ever bolted one down
But he'll yeah I couldn't do with out one
Only takes one attempt to try to drill a small bit ( like though a bolt)
To know u are getting a vice before u lose a finger
Also good for accuracy

Why would you want a horizontal mill? They are time consuming to set up and not nearly as versatile as a vertical mill. Or do you have some special operations to perform with this machine? Either way, you'll love having a mill of any kind.
I picked this up a couple of years ago dirt cheap. I don't use it much at all, but it sure comes in handy when needed!

Agreed. A horz mill is kinda old school. Unless you are also good at using a compound angle vise and setup, a vert mill is more usefull for a hobbiest to use and learn to setup.

Doesn't matter. My bench vise (5" swivel/rotate w/ pipe jaws) is chinese. I have seriously beatenn, heaved, and cranked on that thing. No issues.

That may be, but nothing wrong with buying products from your own country. I would prefer to buy USA, as Im sure you would like to buy Canadian goods.
But yes, there are times where it is easier on the wallet to buy otherwise.

Ultimately, it boils down to this. I would prefer stuff made in Canada or even the US. Well, honestly- pretty much anything BUT China. However- look around. Even stuff sold with US or CDN branding is now largely made overseas. And getting a non-Chinese article is getting rarer and more expensive. I have a family to support, so I buy what I can afford. None of this is my fault...
