Drill bit to use with 1/4 pipe tap?

As the title says, I would like to know what drill but to use with a 1/4 pipe tap?

Is there a sort of chart out there I can use for future reference?

7/16 is much larger than 1/4. Maybe you meant 7/32?

He wants a tap to thread a hole that he can screw a 1/4" pipe into (IIRC about 1/2" OD), NOT a tap to thread a hole for a 1/4" bolt. 7/16" sounds 'bout right to me.

Yeah, the 7/16 worked great.

When I finish the project, Ill show yall what I made... nothing to do with gokarts though!




Unless ofcourse I mounted the thing to one... hmmm...
