Pretty much the title says it all...

Im comming to the finale of this business project... brakes, running cables and the sleeves are the 'main' items needed to finish. Im trying to stay under a 100$ self pay-out on this project (only spent 45$ outta my own pocket for it sofar... ALOTTA things were donated freely). Thinking Im gonna have to go buy a 10ft section and sell off the rest... maybe break even and get 'my' sections free.

I have went to constructions sites (of ALL kinds), asked/called every plumbing company in town, price checked at all the local piping companies (100$ for 10ft NOT sold by the foot :censored:), searched CL (40$ per 2x 6" :censored:), threw up a post on most all the local ISO/sell pages on FB. Ive come up w/ zilch... there's GOTTA be something Im missing... someplace I havent looked!!! :censored:.

When I got the go kart frame, that I used for this build, I had a choice to restore it, or possible flip it for MAJOR profit. Ive called and visited some of the ppl on CL that have been making/selling em, if they actually sell, and if what should I offer. From what Im told, they DO sell, and folks are willing to drive across the state for one. (After seeing mine) they said theyd offer anywhere from 2k-3500$:bannana:... one said he'd never sell it n called me an artist, lol... hence the reasoning why Im 'wanting' to try n keep it under 100$ cost... but Im sure thats EVERYONE's plan when putting something together like this... lol. But Im 'actually' pretty close... SOOOOO close!

Oh... and forgot to ask if anyone has ever ran a drift kart/trike w/ only 1 sleeve cover vs the 2 that everyone else uses (1 for traction and 1 for stability basically... like a dead-axle, but not). I was wondering if there is a drastic pull or difficulty in doing that setup.

Hey HB, what is the actual diameter of the tire? (By that I mean measure it, not the size on the tire)I'd like to know if couplers will work. I'm currently paying about $17 ea shipped.

Mine are almost wide enough to split in half and use. I don't recommend using one sleeve, you'll be shocked with how much traction you get, I currently have too much!

:iagree: I was gonna suggest that, I have seen a few guys running on couplings instead of pipe.

And have you tried sprinkler stores yet ?

Try that green color stuff. I think it is cheaper, but I don't know what it is called. I think it is for drains.

Hmmm... I 'did' forget to mention the size didnt I?!... My bad (Im usually pretty detailed).

Im insearch of 10" ID "schedule 40" (white in color I think) PVC pipe... or couplers. Locally the couplers are right at (12" long) 45$ each and 'would' allow for 1 set of wheels (Id hate myself If I messed up cutting it). The pipe is right at 9$ a ft, but the issue is they ONLY sell it by the section, and the shortest they/anyone locally sells is 10'... (!@#$%:censored:insert several curse words here:censored:^&*#$).

I know Im more than likely asking one of those questions that just cant be answered (Ive been known to do that kinda thing)... and hoping for a miracle. But Im grasping for strings in the dark here... hoping I can finda 'lead' to a reasonable priced (FREE... lol... atleast sold by the ft) supplier/type of person/company/etc...

drive around some commercial job sites or call a commercial underground excavating company. I'm sure they have a source or may have some scraps at "the yard" that you can have for free. Green drain is what you seek

Beer is the currency of the trade/barter system. Bring a case to a job site (try to find one where they are building a subdivision ) and be amazed at what you can get handed to you!
