I'm got to give a shout out to Dover Power in Concorde NC. I had Jerry build a flat head that I was planning on putting on my minibike for drag racing at car shows. I had a polar clutch for it, and was going to gear it for 150 feet. I decided to sell everything and move, so I put it on my go kart and took it to the track to try to sell it.
To be completely honest, i'm glad I never finished the minibike project. It would've hurt someone. That thing freaking RIPS. When I showed up with it there was a lot of talk about outdated flatheads, blah, blah, blah. I took it out at intermission and was turning as good or better lap times than anything there. I had more hot rod than I had guts.
Now please don't think this is trying to get anything for myself, it's not. I know we're always pushing GPS on here, and thought I would share a positive experience that I had. Jerry took the time to talk to me on the phone, and answered any questions I had. He treated me like my business mattered to him, and built me a mean little motor for a great price. I'm a believer.
