So I've got a Coleman ct200u-ex. I'm considering making it street legal and getting it registered. The only thing I'm having problems with is finding a dot approved tire. I'm not 100% aure they are going to check this, but I'd like to know where to get them if they tell me I need those before they will give me a title.
I believe they are 19x7x8.

I would guess scooter tires would be your best bet. Or dot golf cart tires. They are close to that size.

Ok thanks. I can put a different size tire as long as it fits. I'll be honest, I only need them for inspection. As soon as I get it registered, the off road tires are going back on. Lol
I live pretty close to some good riding spots, and it is annoying to have to load it into the truck for a mile or less trip to the trails.

I'm sure you'll be able to make some kind of road scooter's tires/wheels to work with the bike..

You might look at DOT approved ATV/UTV tires. They will typically have the rounder profile you'd want, and plenty of off-road tread patterns to choose from.

Carlisle makes a trailer tire that’s dot approved, that’s the correct size for what you want, they’re a bit shorter, but the rim size, and width is correct. We use them on Schulte SMR-multi rakes, for in the front of a skid steer.

I ran into the same issue and only found larger tires for bigger rims that were highway legal.

When I made my mini street legal, I just kept looking on amazon. They let you hover over the product image that is zoomed in. I found some that are NOT DOT approved but had the DOT stamp on one side. The state trooper that did my roadworthy test looked at my tires saw the DOT stamp and was ok with it.

So maybe just try and find some that have the DOT stamp. I know its kind of a gamble doing that, but it is what it is. Once its street legal, you can use any tire you want.

Here is what I used, not your size but shows you can probably find a pair if you look around enough.

looked at those, i have the kenda speed racer ones, similiar to these, and they are also not highway legal. :-(

Yes I know, I said its a gamble. The ones I put on my mini only had that on one side. And a DOT stamp on the other. The state trooper didnt look hard enough, he just found the DOT letters on the tire and passed it even though the tire said "not for highway use" right on it.

I never said its a 100% gonna work, just letting you know it "can work" if all the stars line up properly.

If I had some paperwork/ titles on mine, it would be easy in Ohio, since I can get a title changed from offroad motorcycle to motorcycle with no inspection, just a sworn affidavit. Never got anything with these when I bought them though, so it wouldn't be as easy.
