I got this bike for $70. It was yellow and in rough shape.

So I painted it a light blue, and the rims and sprocket a semi gloss black. The new seat and tires are from GoPower Sports. Put on new rear brakes and kept the original brake lever. New throttle control & kill switch. Made a clutch-brake and chain/clutch cover with new brake lever and all new cables.

Put on an adjustable motor plate with a Pred. Hemi 212. I removed the gov. added new jet /air filter, with weenie pipe and muffler.

This bike is fast and rides very nice.

Clean build... smart choice using the engine plate. As a south Florida native, I love the color combo - reminds me of the Florida Marlins.

Cool build.
I like the shade of blue too, sort of turquoise-aqua and retro.
The Doodlebug is a good minibike that one can build into a classic 60s-70s style.

Are you riding without an air filter? Uh oh.

Yes small shed stuffed full of things and two other bikes. Removing the filters lets me park the three bikes side by side. I always tape something over the carb air hole so dust and dirt don't get in the carb while parked in the shed.
