Hey everyone, i purchased a used gokart and my sons including me are enjoying it. I would appreciate if you could point me in the right direction for all things DONGFANG DF200GKD Gokart? Some of the things I just don’t know is where to order parts, what type of oil does it require, a manual would be nice. Hope someone out there can guide me.

Welcome to the forum. Most small engines do OK with a 10 w 30 oil. It's probably pretty hot right now where you are, so even 10 w 40 wouldn't hurt. No idea if
Dongfang is still in business or not. Have you tried to Google that brand. Take VERY GOOD care of all the electronic gizmos and wiring on that thing. Protect it from the weather. The modern Chinese kart ( like you have ) with way too much wiring and too many electric features are famous for causing lots of headaches once they start messing up. BTW, very neat looking kart. Hope you and your sons have a ball with it. Maybe another DF owner will chime in here with more of the information you are looking for.

I appreciate the additional information. I was curious how I was going to wash it. I just assumed I could put the pressure washer on it and be done. Sounds like I’ll need to be more careful with that task.

Thanks for the tip on the oil. I have googled that brand and have come across websites that resell parts however I am not familiar with these vendors so I don’t trust them to place orders. Hopefully another owner can chime in and share some more wisdom so I can maintain it for years to come.

My neighbor dropped this off and asked if I could get it running again. It's a dong Feng also.20240806_184018.jpg
My other project was a tao tao quad runner I grafted to my kart. I've had 2 china motors now. They all are the same. Dong Feng, tao tao, lifan, koolster, roketa. What ever it says...
Seems to be the gy6 horizontal style engine or the upright CG. Slight differences in cc size but once you know which clone you have it get easy to find parts.
As far as the non engine parts they are pretty much the same across the brands. Again a few different styles but mass copied and used.
Usually the words "china kart, utv, atv" plus the part your looking for will give results.

As far as the wiring they also make complete wiring harness with all the electrical boxes already assembled. I don't understand how the cdi, voltage regulator, coil, plug, starter relays, and all the buttons can be so cheap. I tried to repair the harness on and found it to just be so cheap it wasn't worth the hassle.
Enough rambling. Is it dinner time yet?

Pressure Washer, NO NO NO. From what I know ( only by reading dozens of post on this forum ) of folks having nightmarish problems with the electrical system on karts like yours, that the wire is small ( marginal ) and the plug type connections are not very weather proof. Cleaning time should be a couple of damp rags and some patients. Mechanically speaking I think they are a lot more robust.
